Dimensioning

Dimensioning
The dimensioning of retarding basins takes local conditions and physical frameworks for positioning into consideration, according to applied knowledge on technical hygiene, wastewater technology and plant engineering.

When the requirement for the retarding basin volume is found, the BIO-BLOK® element’s volume is applied at 0.152 m3 as a unit which is divided into the desired water volume value, giving us the number of BIO-BLOK® elements required.

The retarding basin’s geometry, height, width and length are then determined so that the desired water volume matches a number of whole elements.
